It's just without a campaign the game feels unfinished for me, especially at £25, and there's little point in playing it if it's just quick races.Īnyone looking for a Micro Machines game would be far better off picking up Toybox Turbo IMO. As a result, this feels like a shell of a few different. Bolting Overwatchs sensibilities onto a game like this is a novel idea but Codemasters never leans far enough in any one direction. Theres no actual standard local races or split screen. ![]() The game is clearly multiplayer focused and lacks the single player progression of something like Toybox Turbo. Micro Machines: World Series is a top-down car combat racing game available from retail stores and for download from the PlayStation Store for the PS4. There is local but its limited to elimination races and battle matches. There's just two game modes, Quick Race and Skirmish, with two greyed out for some reason. The reality is that this game is woefully lacking in content for solo players. I played this game in the early hours of this morning when it unlocked expecting this classic top-down toy racer to show all the other pretenders that have been released in the years since 1996 how it should be done. ![]()
